Question:

Hi there, I am currently looking for a transmission cooler that could work as a direct in replacement for my companys shuttle bus fleet. Our fleet consists of Chevy Express 4500s with the 6L V8. I have been looking at a few items, item #: D12904, D13504, D13105 as potential candidates however I do not know how many BTUs they are rated for. I am looking for a unit that can handle 29,500 BTU. If you could please let me know if any of these units are capable of handling that many BTU or if you have any units that can, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Derale does not rate their transmission coolers in bTu but if you wanted a cooler that would work very well the Derale Stacked plate cooler # D54012 will be your best option. This is a stacked plate cooler which is the most efficient style by a long shot and is the biggest size we have at 13" Wide x 13-15/16" tall x 2" deep. While this may not be rated in bTu it would easily fit your 29,500 requirement.
