Troubleshooting Powered Trailer Jack that Has Power But Won't Work
Updated 07/05/2018 | Published 07/03/2018 >
Question:
I have an LCI electric tongue jack that will not operate electrically. I have traced the power cord to the housing and have power all the way to the housing but I have not opened the housing. The light does not work either. Could this be a switch, ground issue? Just find it odd if the motor has burnt up that the light doesn’t work either. Thanks for any help.

It could be a switch or ground issue pretty easily. Most powered A-frame trailer jacks ground through the mounting hardware so you'd want to make sure that the frame of the trailer is grounding properly to the ground harness of the trailer wiring.
