Do Trailer Wheel and Tires Need to be Balanced
Updated 07/03/2018 | Published 07/02/2018 >
Question:
In your experience, do trailer tires NEED to be balanced? You dont offer wheel balancing. If I buy your complete wheel and tire set, do I really need to spend the extra cost on my boat trailer wheels?

The tire and wheel combos we carry like # AM32395 are not machined balanced. You can have the tire and wheel combos balanced at a local tire shop if you wanted to.
What our tire manufacturers will do is line up the light spot on the tire with the heavy spot on the wheel. This is a type of balancing but not like how car tires are balanced (with weights on a balancing machine). Most likely you would not feel any difference having the wheel balanced.
