Question:
I have a Lumina pull behind motorcycle trailer with torsion axles, I have repacked the bearings but am unsure of how much grease to put in the hub. The hub has a zerk fitting on the side wall, do I fill with grease until it starts coming out of the front bearing or is that overpacking?

On a hub like the CE Smith Trailer Hub Assembly # CE13511 with a grease zerk on the hub you will remove the grease cap. You will then use your Grease Gun # L30416 to fill the hub with Grease # L11390 until you see it filling the entire hub and covering the spindle nut. Be sure to also watch the grease seal on the back of the hub to ensure that grease does not push through the grease seal.
If you see grease pushing past the seal before it reaches the spindle nut you will have a damaged grease seal or something inside the hub restricting grease from going through the outer bearing.
