The Dexter Torflex Lift Kits are designed for use with Torflex axles. The differences in the kits we have available have to do with the specific model Torflex axle they are compatible with, along with the number of axles that are on the trailer. The Dexter Torflex axles feature a torsion arm type suspension and attaches directly to the trailer frame. You will first want to make sure this is the type of axle you have on your trailer.
The Torflex Lift Kit # K71-707-02 (Tandem Axle) is compatible with #10 Torflex axles with 2,300 to 4,000 pound capacities, the part # K71-724-02 (Tandem Axle) is for #11 Torflex axles with 4,100 to 6,000 pound capacities, and # K71-725-02 (Tandem Axle) is for #12 Torflex axles with 5,500 to 7,000 pound capacities.
The specific model of the axles on your trailer should be labeled with a sticker somewhere on the axle itself. This is the information you will use to determine the correct kit.
If you don't have Torflex axles, but have standard round tube axles instead, another option to lift the trailer is with an Over-Under Conversion Kit. This kit will allow you to move the leaf springs to the top of the axle, lifting the trailer by the height of the axle and leaf spring stack.
If you have a 3 inch diameter axle, you can use # K71-385-00 and for 2-3/8 inch axles you will use # K71-384-00.
