Question:
Does this hitch bolt right up without having to remove the spare tire? 2006 GMC Sierra
asked by: Nathan
Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class IV - 2" # C14332 will bolt right up to your 2006 GMC Sierra 1500. You will need to lower the spare tire according to the instructions attached but that is only to give you the working space. Depending on your tools, you may be able to work around it while still in place. I've attached a video of the installation to assist.
If you need to add wiring for towing, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Pole Flat Connectors # C55774.
