How to Figure Out What Landing Gear is on a 2015 Heartland Gateway 3650BH

Question:

I need to replace the follow leg on my 2015 Gateway 3650BH. It seems that most of the measurements on the LC179014 match my current leg. The one measurement that I am unsure of is the total length. I dont see any manufacturer labels on my landing gear that would indicate the brand. Where should I look to find out the manufacturer of my gear?

The overall height of the Replacement 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear Follow Leg # LC179014 is 32". Since landing gears should always be installed in sets (unless you are using an exact replacement) it isn't surprising that the follow leg doesn't have any identifying marks on it. Try checking your lead leg and the motor (if you have one) to see if there are any marks on it.

If you still can't find anything then you can contact Heartland with the VIN on your 2015 Gateway 3650BH and they should be able to tell you exactly what you have on your trailer. Lippert is a popular OEM manufacturer for trailers so it is very likely that this is the correct replacement follow leg but it is always best to take a few extra steps to ensure you get an exact replacement when you are only replacing one leg.
