Trailer Hitch Fit Recommendation for 2003 Ford E-450 Cutaway Chassis

I need a heavy duty trailer hitch for a 2003 E-450 cutaway. Its hard to lookup anywhere. Its a dually superduty. Basically, I have a 42inch frame width, outside to outside and need to be able to get below the rear bumper. Which models have about a 41inch mounting width?

For your 2003 Ford E-450 Cutaway chassis we have the Curt hitch part # 14055 as the most likely fit. This fits the cutaway chassis vans as long as the mounting holes on the frame are 38-5/8 inches apart.

I called the manufacturer and part #41990, will accommodate up to a 44 inch frame. We also have part #41990-07 and 41990-16 which are both 44 inches wide with different size mounting brackets if these would fit your application.

Hey Jim, I checked the install instructions for the Curt hitch part #33055 and they state that if a front plastic valance is present it will need to get removed. Sounds like that is what you are referring to and it would need to get removed.
