Can Bolts on Lippert 1716 # LC1324791 Pin Box be Moved to Different Bolt Holes
Updated 05/25/2018 | Published 05/24/2018 >
Question:
There are 3 horizontal rows of 3 vertical holes in which the 1716 uses the top two horizontal rows. Can it be unbolted and moved to use the bottom 2 horizontal rows? I moved from an 03 Silver ado to an 08 GMC Sierra. The GMC bed is deeper allowing the back edge of the pin box to hit the inside of the top of the bed on tight turns using a Pullrite slider in a 6 1/2foot bed.

Yes! The various bolt holes in pin boxes, including the Lippert 1716 # LC1324791 that you referenced are meant to be used to help with clearance as well as leveling your towing rig.
Most 5th wheel hitches have height adjustment as well which may be easier to accomplish than removing and reinstalling the brackets for your pin box.
