  • Retractable straps automatically wind up into the built-in housings with the push of a button
    • Keeps excess strap from tangling or flapping in the wind
  • Ratchet mechanisms make it easy to tighten down straps and maintain tension on straps
    • Handles are easy to grip
  • Push buttons on ratchets quickly and easily release straps when you're ready to unload
  • Zinc-coated steel bodies are corrosion resistant

  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 1,100 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 3,300 lbs
  • Quantity: 2 ratchet straps

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

One of the straps spring broke after two uses. I have good luck with the 1" version of this strap, but not the 2" version.

by:

Product appears to be very well made. I have not as yet tried them but the straps retract very smoothly. Service from etrailer was excellent and they have a huge sellection to pick from. I wii be using these straps to secure my sise by side and my lawn mowers to the trailer.

The straps have worked very well and have not worn much after dozens of uses. Highly recommend them.

My second set of these great tie down straps. Super convenient, these straps have all surplus strapping stored in the tensioner housing. Winding up excess straps is now a thing of the past. If you're tieing down equipment multiple time each day, you're going to love these straps. Super fast shipping, too.

Just wanted you to know that this is the third year Ive owned these straps my second set and I love them even more now than I did at first. These straps are such a time saver in our lawncare business. Tying down our equipment used to be a real pain, but not any more. I will continue to keep our trailers equipped with these straps as long as theyre available.

by:

The Erickson Re-Tractable rachet straps are great. I have been using them for a year to transport lawnmower between multiple properties. I have not had any issues with them. I would purchase them again.

Nice & strong. Spring stays “springy”. Graduated from 1 inch to trese

by:

Mounted on my trailer andworks like a charm, I always know where there at and never an issue with be left out in the elements.
I just pull my Lawnmower, side by side,
quad runner or whatever I'm hauling and belt them down and when I get where I'm going disconnect walk around the trailer and hit the retract button, works like a charm.

I gotta tell you I am impressed, these ratchet straps are still working like a charm after a year of use and being left on the trailer and Im located in the heartland of the midwest United States with all the weather mother nature can throw at us all.year round these straps have been exposed to types of weather and work as well as the day I got them, Great products Erickson, keep up the good work !

by:

These clamps save you Time when setting up and taking off. My trailer has 4 D-rings, and I use these straps to secure my heavy Z-turn lawn mower. I like the freedom to connect the clamp to the D-ring, then onto the mower. When I'm done, I box up the clamps and the D-rings. Clean and fast operation using these clamps.

Quality & Time Savings !! Clamps are working like a charm. I used these constantly for tying down the ZeroTurn Mower to my trailer.

They are really good, heavy duty and easy to use!

by:

A major farm supply retailer whom I previously bought spring-loaded cargo straps from every year, discontinued selling Erickson straps, the best for frequent loading and unloading vehicles, due to their spring loaded rapid release. The retailer said the reason was that some people preferred the cheaper ones - which are only initially cheaper but take far longer to connect and disconnect. I told the store manager the straps he sells will cost me 50 times more money in constant wasted time with his junk straps and were almost useless to me. So, I found etrailer online which had exactly what I wanted and had prompt service. Thank you, etrailer.

As always, we are happy with the best straps around. Dan. P.S.Well order more soon.

by:

Used these for holding down building materials on a flatbed trailer. The retraction spring has broken on two of the ratchets. The other two are still working.
The straps tend to be on the short side for most loads but sometimes I hook two together to make it work.
I would give the product a fair to good rating

Strap itself are good quality materials. Ratchets are too complex and retractable spring is poorly made and stop working after a short time. If you use them once or twice a year, they probably work fine. However, I am a pro contractor and use straps every day. These ratchet straps lasted 2 weeks then the ratchets stopped working and the retractable feature quit after one week. Not something I would buy again.

by:

Haven't used the ratchet straps, Checked them out by hand. My trailer has not been delivered yet. Also bought a trailer brake controller and adaptor. Sales person at e-trailer was very helpful and answered all my questions about if the adapter would fit a 2015 escalade. I didn't know if a new adaptor was available because of all the changes in the 2015 model. Price, delivery and assistance with my order was excellent. Thanks

Im very satisfied with all the purchases Ive made from trailer. The brake controller work perfectly between the truck and trailer. The straps have worked as expected and I have made several trips with my HD Trike In the trailer. It never moved. Just what I was looking for.. Deliveries came when promised. I just recently orders. A spare tire and wheel, took an extra 2 days to get here. We did have 2ft of snow that week, but it was ok, I wasnt going anywhere any way.

10 minutes and ready to roll using

by:

The straps and hardware are very robust and will do the job as designed.

by:

purchased a second pair of these easy to use and very strong Ratchet Straps. I previously purchase two and loved there ease of operation, the next two complete a thorough tie down of my Spyder RT

by:

Does not cinch up on the load

by:

Exactly what I was looking for

by:

These are much stronger than the 6 ft. 1inch tie down straps!

by:

Over the years I have purchased at least 14 Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps for myself and my daughter. We both have utility trailers. I normally get the 10 ft long by 1 inch wide straps rated at 400 lbs. I just got two 2 inch wide rated at 1100 lbs. Yes, they are heavier but, now that I have a vacation trailer also, I wanted a set rated for heavier loads. I have owned other brands of retractable ratchet straps but, have returned them as I did not like the mechanism as well as Erickson. These retractable straps are so much easier to use than standard ratchet straps.

by:

Beats all the hassles of pulling the strap through and having too much and start over on the conventional type

by:

We purchased two sets of two retractable tie down straps along with four recessed D ring tie down anchors for use in our lawn care company trailer. We also had to purchase a 3 1/2 inch hole saw used for cutting through the wood floor of the enclosed trailer. Once we positioned and installed the recessed D ring anchors we have found the Erickson straps securely tie down our 60 inch zero turn mower. We positioned the anchors so they can also be used to secure our 36 inch walk behind mower and on rare occasions our John Deere gator.

by:

My experience mounting to kayak trailer:
3
photos
Very difficult to remove the stationary strap to use as a fixed device; bolted to the trailer (photos) The spring is very difficult to reinstall when you remove the bolt.
Also not enough room to put a wrench on bolt used to mount as a fixed strapping system.
I have not used these yet but will post a review at end of the season.
They seem well made and sturdy, but I did notice the spring is easily bent when trying to reinstall; not what I expected of a spring that would be properly heat treated.
We shall see.

by:

Love these straps. I wouldn't want to use any other kind. Strong, durable, and so easy to use!

by:

A good straps but heavier and more bulky than I expected; however, since the straps retract i don't have to store and keep track of separate pueces.

  • Trailer Hitch Lock and Ratchet Straps for Securing a Boat Trailer and RZR 800
Hi Sandra, absolutely, we can help with both. For securing something in a 2 inch receiver, I’d go with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock part # e98882. It has a stainless steel pin and lock housing for good corrosion resistance, which I especially like around a boat, and the covered key slot helps keep water and grime out. One thing I do want to clarify, though, is that this lock secures a ball mount or other accessory inside the receiver. If you’re wanting to prevent someone from...

Sorry Jim but it does not. The CargoBuckle G3 Retractable Ratchet Straps item # IMF18800-77 you were looking at tops out at 6' and does not have a longer strap. The only solution I have for you is the Erickson item # EM34416, which are retractable straps that measure 2" x 10' and have a 1,100 lbs capacity. These are not bolt-on tie-downs though.

See the attached video starting at the 50 second mark which demonstrates this. If you have followed the video and it still isn't releasing, you may need to add a little lubricant like WD-40 if it is stuck.

  • How Far Apart Should E-Track be Mounted to Secure a Harley Ultra
There is no set distance apart that the E-Track, such as # E19148, has to be mounted. If it were me I would place them so that they are about an E-track's width apart wider than the widest part of the bike on each side. So for example if the bike 36 inches wide and the E-Track is 5-1/8 inches wide I would place the E-Track so there is 46-1/4 inches between them.
