This kit is made to handle serious towing. With a 30,000-lb gross towing weight capacity, the 2-5/16" chrome-plated steel ball gives you a strong, dependable connection for heavy trailers. The ball locks into place with a built-in ball-bearing system that keeps it tight under load and releases cleanly when you’re done. It’s the same kind of setup folks use to pull fully loaded livestock trailers or long equipment haulers without any drama.
Hooking up and unhooking is simple thanks to the pop-in ball and lever system. You just lift the integrated lever on top of the ball to unlock it, drop it into the gooseneck receiver, and it secures itself automatically. When it’s time to remove it, lift the lever again and pull it straight out—no tools or awkward angles. The smooth chrome finish makes cleanup easy and resists corrosion from weather or road grime.
The two spring-loaded safety chain hookups attach directly into the factory Power Pucks for a solid hold. They sit flush in the bed when not in use and pop up when you need them. Each loop has plenty of room for heavy-duty hooks and stays stable under tension. The design keeps your chains lined up right where you want them for easy reach and peace of mind while towing.
When you’re not towing, the rubber cover seals off the ball hole to keep dirt and debris out. The included storage case holds the ball, loops, and cover together so nothing rolls around or gets lost between jobs. Everything stays protected and ready for next time you hitch up.

Heavy Duty!
I am a very satisfied user. The 5th wheel we pull is 10.5Tons and I see no strain or wear marks after a year of occasional, mostly highway travels. The small amount of bed space taken up by the goose neck ball and hitches compared to a large, good quality plate hitch is remarkable. And of course when not being used, the ball and chain parts stay in the carry case. I only wish the parts were all stainless steel and rust proof. Still, not a problem as I keep the corrosion prone parts coated with wheel bearing grease.

I bought this for my new 2025 Ram 3500 with the hitch prep kit already installed. It does not work with the Andersen hitch. When you try to install the safety chain puck they interfere with the base of the hitch.
I paid $[XX] to get the ball and safety chain pucks. The ball by itself is $[XX] so I thought the kit would be a no brainer.
Now I need to order the Andersen safety chain kit.
All said, I need about 1/8 inch to clear the base. Perhaps Curt will modify in the future.
Love it! Simple, effective and clean
It works great I pull a 26 foot horse trailer that I converted into a toy hauler a couple times a month and haven’t had any problems with the product.
I have used these three times now pulling a 14k fifth wheel. They work great. Easy to install and no huge hitch tying up my truck bed. The last hookup I had one of my safety chains hooked to short. Made a fairly sharp turn and heard a loud pop. I had it looped through the chain holder and back up to the camper. It straightened the hook on the chain but didn’t phase the Curt chain bracket in the truck. These things are tough.
Curt gooseneck kit, an outstanding product. Carrying case will come in handy, fits anywhere in the truck. Quick install. Highly recommended.

Gooseneck ball and chain fasteners were delivered when they said, used it immediately upon receiving it. Very quick install, towing in less than 10 min.
Great product. Works just as good as Dodge's and half the price. Easy to slip ball in and safety chain tie downs are a cinch. Stores nicely in box under your seat.

Very easy install. Serves exactly the purpose it was intended for. Drop this in the bed of a 2019 Ram 2500 and has logged 1000's of miles pulling a 3 horse goose neck trailer to many Horse Shows and Fox Hunts! (Yes, we have those in Texas!)
Bought a used set up from etrailer. Arrived in excellent condition - virtually a new setup. Trying to reduce the overall height of my 5th wheel and this ball setup is 1.75" shorter than my B&W ball. Happy with the quality so far.
Great system if you need such a system. The ball was just tall enough for my Andersen Ultimate hitch with a 1/4" rubber pad underneath.

This product is well made and shorter than my B&W, which is exactly what I needed to level out my 5th wheel when towing. The chain loops are well designed and sized correctly for the chain hooks that come with my Reese Goosebox 20K Gen2. The case is well made which makes the product easy to transport and store. I use this with a North Point 310RLTS and my 2022 RAM 3500 DRW.

After a year, we needed to go back to our B&W ball! The Curt has such a flat spot on top for the release mechanism the Reese Goosebox has to be PERFECTLY aligned else it won’t on by sliding off the top part of the ball. Secondly, once greased there’s no way to release the ball without getting hands greasy. We aren’t using this product anymore.

Works as advertised. There is some additional corrosion on all the ferrous metal piece. No surprise considering the weather exposure which is normal usage conditions.
