Trailer Left Side Lights Not Working with Trailer Wiring C56375 Installed in 2018 Chevy Equinox
Updated 10/21/2021 | Published 05/19/2018 >
Question:
I bought this wiring kit for my 2018 Chevy equinox and I plugged it but the left light wont work at all. Whether I am using the breaks, left turn signal or the running lights are on. I used a tester I purchased from this site and it appears to be working with the tester. I have been using a magnetic light set on my trailer but I have tried two different brand new sets so I am stumped.

It sounds like there is a problem with a relay on the vehicle side. In the fuse panel located in the rear of your 2018 Chevy Equinox check to make sure there is a relay in the K3 location. Wiring harness # C56375 comes with 2 relays and one of them goes in that K3 location. It is for the left side trailer brake light and turn signal.
It is a good idea to check any and all fuses/relays related to the tow package wiring. Under the hood that would be location F28. In the cab check location F03. And in that rear panel check F3, F8, F13, F14, F18, K1, K2, K3, and K4.
Since everything else is working it has got to be one of those.

Did anyone find a solution for this left side issue? My sister is having the exact same problem on her 18 Equinox, and the dealership has tested it but the trailer works on 3 other vehicles FYI there is a spot for the 2 relays BUT there is no wiring be hide it. I'm a Tech and stumped here
