The head tilt spacers you are referring to on your Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System part # C17500 are made of aluminum and can bend with too much stress. Unfortunately, there is not a whole lot you can do to prevent this for the exception of making sure they are torqued down to 200 ft. lbs. and the system is not overloaded. We do not sell the head tilt spacers separately but you can acquire them with the Replacement Hardware Kit part # C17550.

Based on your photo, the system was not setup correctly so the bars that should be applying friction to the brackets evenly is only hitting on that inside edge of the bar. That will not carry the weight correctly and definitely can cause scary sway.…
