Hello, Im pretty sure my Curt hitch is the 17501. Would this part, Curt Weight Distribution Head Angle Adjustment Item # 17312 be the right part for my hitch?? The dealer installed it and I think it needs to be adjusted and I want to have the right parts before I start. Also, those Conical washers, will I need to change them after I remove the bolts for adjustments?? Thanks,

The Curt Weight Distribution Head Angle Adjustment # 17312 is the correct replacement for the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # C17501 that you mentioned having. The removal of the washers and the adjustment rod is how the adjustment to the spring bar tension is made. Basically what comes in this kit is what either gets removed or added to the setup to make adjustments to the spring bar tension.
In step 17 of the install instructions for the # C17501 here's how the adjustment description is listed:
Remove the top 3/4" hex bolt (#6) installed in Step 6 and add
washers or the long adjustment rod (#12) to increase head tilt.
Reinstall the 3/4" hex bolt and repeat Steps 14 -16 to ensure
the proper loaded ride height is achieved.
