Question:
Can a Load Extender be used in the cargo area of a 2016 Honda CR-V to transport two kayaks, rather than using the roof of the car? What do you suggest to hold the part tight to the hitch? Does it come with a red or orange safety flag?

Expert Reply:
A load extender like the Malonel Extender, part # MPG907, isn't really intended to carry a load sticking out of the hatch of an SUV like that but it would work the same. This extender at its widest is 48 inches so you need to make sure this is enough space for both your kayaks.
The extender has reflective tape on the back but there isn't a flag included. You can use part # EM05308. Then to lock and hold the extender to your hitch receiver I recommend an anti-rattle lock # 63232.
