Question:

I am working with an old cement mixer. All of the dimensions give are a correct fit. But none of the hubs or axles listed give the dimension for the length of the bearing surface. My axles measure 3.450inch from the face of the seal step to the beginning of the thread step. That means that I have a 3.450inch spindle step length to support the bearings. What is the measurement from the outside of bearing face to outside of bearing face?

Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-440-2-1K uses two of bearing part # L44643 which fit on a 0.99-inch diameter spindle.

I went to our warehouse to measure this hub for you. The overall exterior depth of the hub from end to end (see picture please) is 4-1/4-inches. The inside space within the hub from the outside edges of the two races is 3-1/4-inches. This corresponds to the bearing face positions.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
