Comparing Thule T2 Pro to Kuat Sherpa 2.0 on 2018 Subaru Crosstrek

When comparing the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 platform bike rack and Thule T2 ProXTB what are the pros and cons and will they both work on a 2018 crosstrek with a Curt C13382 Hitch receiver? Will they both carry fat bikes?

The Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Platform Rack # TH83JV is a very nice rack that will tilt-away, fold-up, and will hold the bikes by their wheels. That rack will allow bikes up to 60 lbs each and with tires up to 5 inches wide. The closest part of the rack when folded is 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin and the carrier weighs 52 lbs.
The Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack # SH22G is also a very nice rack that will tilt-away, fold-up, and holds the bikes by their wheels. The rack will allow bikes up to 40 lbs each and with tires up to 3 inches wide. The closest part of the rack when folded up is 7-1/2 inches and the carrier weighs just 32 lbs.
The Kuat NV 2.0 Base # BA22B is a closer comparison to the Thule T2. It has the tilt-away, and fold-away features as well. It is rated for bikes up to 60 lbs with tires up to 4.8 inches wide. The closest part of the rack when folded up is 6-5/8 inches. This rack weighs 52 lbs
Any of these options will work with your 2018 Subaru Crosstrek and Curt # C13382 Trailer hitch.
