Question:
I have a 2001 ford ranger I want to install a brake controller in. I like the Redarc controller but struggling finding a place to mount the remote. Do you have a video or pictures that pertain to my vehicle?

The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR is a great brake controller, but since it is still fairly new to use we haven't had the opportunity to shoot an install video on a Ford Ranger yet. I do have some dimensions that you can use to determine if it will fit though.
The main unit of the Elite measures 3-3/8" long x 3-15/16" wide x 1-1/8" tall while the control knob itself measures 2-3/8" long x 3/4" wide x 7/8" tall. If you are talking about having trouble finding a place to mount the control knob then I recommend using the Universal Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-001 which allows a clean look for wherever you decide to install it.
If you check out the attached video of this controller being installed on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee you can see that the control knob is actually mounted in the center console. Since the control knob doesn't have to be mounted in a specific orientation it really opens up the possibilities for installation.
Please note that if you already have a 4-Way like part # 118344 then you will also need the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 for a fully functioning 7-Way. I have attached a video of this kit being installed on a 2001 Ranger for you to reference as well as some helpful articles.
