Will the Easy Swivel Trailer Jack # DL22800 Install Around a 3 x 5 boat Trailer Tongue

Question:

This jacks states it can fit a 3 x 5 tongue. Does that mean it will bolt around the 5 tall tube without drilling? The dimensions of the jack mounting plate and associated brackets are not shown. Thanks.

Yes, you are correct. As long as your trailer frame is 3 inches wide across that top and 5 inches tall the Easy Swivel Trailer Jack, # DL22800, will fit on your trailer without drilling. I have posted a photo of a jack with the same mount installed on a 2 inch wide by 4 inch tall trailer frame, for you to reference.

To install on the 3 x 5 inch frame you will turn the bracket on the jack 90 degrees and utilize the bolt holes in the top of the bracket that can be seen on the inside of the trailer frame. I added dimensions and pointed or the mounting holes in the photo for you. The swivel mechanism on the jack will function properly with the mounting plate in any position.

The dimension on center between the two mounting holes for 3 x 5 trailer frame mounting is 5-3/8 inches, allowing for the frame to be positioned between the mounting bolts.
