Hitch Extender Recommendation for Ram 2500 with Class V Hitch towing with Tailgate Down

Question:

Hello, I own a Ram 2500 with a Class V receiver. I already have a hitch adapter with ball for standard towing applications. Ill be renting a 6x12 enclosed Cargo Trailer that I would like to pull with the tailgate in the down position. The reason being that I have an AMP Research bed extender to maximize my bed cargo as well. Can I purchase a Hitch extender from you to allow clearance between the lowered tailgate and the rental trailer? And what length/size would you recommend? Thank you!

Since you have Class V hitch with a 2-1/2 inch opening the best solution for a hitch extender is the Curt extender part # C45048 which can be used as a 24 inch or 34 inch extender. This would have plenty of capacity for your 6 x 12 trailer that you plan on renting.
