Question:
I have a 36 mobile suite 5th wheel trailer. I pull the trailer with 2015 GMC Denali. We have a 2door Jeep Wrangler we drag along behind the fifth wheel. I have a wireless wireless camara mounted on the 5th wheel with monitor in truck to keep eye on Jeep. Wireless Camara not good if road is a little rough, not good for our needs. Works great if not moving or slow in town. I want a hard wired camara and it looked like the RVS-770613 might be a good fit but I dont see a way to break the connection between truck and fifth wheel when not towing. Im I missing something or is there another kit to go with the RVS-770613 to accomodate a waterproof connection point? If you have other thoughts or suggestions I would appreciate that, thank you. For your setup, I recommend the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Side Cameras # RVS-062710 and Quick Connect Kit # RVS-2133. This will give you two additional cameras to allow you to see the blind spots from your trailer better for turns and lane changes. I've attached videos to assist.
If you just want to see the Jeep behind the trailer, then I recommend the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Trailer Tow Quick Connect Kit # RVS-770613-213. This will give you the connection you want between your trailer and truck and will give you a clear signal. It is the system you mentioned with the trailer connection added.
