Question:
If I dont install T4748800 that came in the kit, can I back up? I am new to understanding some of the terminology. I only have a 4 prong trailer plug.

If you don't install the reverse lockout solenoid # T4748800 that came with your actuator, then unless you have free backing brake assemblies, you will not be able to back up without activating the brakes immediately.
This solenoid basically works like a valve not allowing the hydraulic brake fluid to move through the brake lines to activate your brake assemblies. Because you have a 4-way, I recommend you add the Hopkins Endurance 5-Way Flat Trailer Wiring Kit - Vehicle and Trailer Ends - Ergonomic Design # HM47890 using heat shrink butt connectors # DW05744-10. Then you just tap into your reverse light power at your tail light using # SWC501925-1.
I've attached a wiring article to assist.
