Question:
My Road King Trailer has one of your brake actuator ... Dexter Brake Actuator - 099-175-20... how do I manually lock-out the telescoping electric actuator when just moving the trailer around my yard?

Expert Reply:
The Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator # 099-175-20 uses an electronic lockout which is generally activated from a reverse wire to prevent the brakes from being activated when backing up with the trailer. If your vehicle has a 4-way you will be able to wire the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter # C57187 and instead of routing the blue wire to the reverse lights you can tap it into a power wire to activate the lockout when you need to maneuver your Road King trailer around your yard.
