Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation and Install Location for 2018 Ford Explorer

Question:
2018 ford explorer sport with trailer towing class III. I had a 2015 and it had a plug in located to the left side and I do not see it on my 2018. Maybe I just did not remove enough of the hardware in front of the wiring connectors. If you have a video it would be very much appreciated.

For trailer wiring for your 2018 Ford Explorer we have the Curt kit part # C56172 which is a confirmed fit. We have an install video for this kit on a similar 2017 Ford Explorer that I attached below for you to check out as well.
I attached a picture as well that points out where you'll find the harness on your vehicle too.
