Question:

Can the a7740 house 2 6volt batteries? This is a common rv upgrade but I can’t find anywhere that states the size of the battery box it comes with. If not is it possible to order just the frame mount w/o the box?

I spoke to my contact at TorkLift about the TorkLift HiddenPower Under-Vehicle Battery Mount with Battery Box part # TLA7740 and they informed me that you would not be able to mount two 6 volt batteries side by side in the box due to the limited length. Unfortunately, the bracket is not sold separately from the box.

I have attached a photo with the internal dimensions of the above battery box for you but for an option that will allow you to mount two 6 volt batteries side by side, I recommend the TorkLift PowerArmor Locking Battery Box part # TLA7712R. The PowerArmor Battery Box has a locking lid to deter theft and is made from a lightweight and rustproof diamond plate aluminum. The box is around 24" long x 8.25" wide x 12.75" tall.
