Would Redarc Smart Start Battery Isolator Kit Work on 1978 GMC K25 Truck

Question:

I am looking to install a battery isolator between my prime and auxiliary batteries on a 1978 GMC K25 truck. Given the truck is older, is this the right system for this older truck? The two batteries that I have are Interstate, with CCA 800.

While your 1978 GMC truck is a bit older it does use a standard alternator like what the Redarc Smart Start Battery Isolator with Wiring Kit # 331-SBI12KIT was designed to work with so it would work great for you.
