Was looking at receivers. Wanted to know the differences between two 15300 and 15318

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V XD - 2" # C15300 and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V XD - 2" # C15318 are both a confirmed fit for your 1997 Dodge Ram with standard or step bumper. These have the same capacities and a very similar design. The only real difference is that the # C15318 is only a fit for Dodge Ram trucks for certain model years and the # C15300 will also fit some Ford trucks and Broncos in addition to those same years of Dodge Ram trucks. According to the instructions the # C15318 will be a slightly quicker install as well. I've attached a video of the installation both on the same truck to assist.
