Can the spring perches be move closer together to fit a trailer.

The Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes - EZ-Lube - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 89" - 3,500 lbs # e43SR can have the spring locations changed. You can simply have the Spring Seat for Typical 3,500-lb, Round Trailer Axles with 2-3/8" Diameter # TRSS238 welded in the desired locations versus the 74 inches center on center they come with. What you cannot change is the hub face to hub face length. There is a maximum from the hub face to the spring seat, so at most you can on a straight axle move your spring seats to 71 inches on center. Anything more can change the capacity of the axle according to the manufacturer.
