Can Axle Perches Be Welded to the Frame?

Question:
The manufacturer of my trailer Carson Trailers just welded the axle perch straight to the trailer frame. Can these be welded to the frame or should I buy the brackets shown in other pics not sure the name of them and have them in stalled prior to installed these?

Thanks for the picture! That axle perch is usually attached to your trailer's frame with bolts not a weld. I would definitely consult with the dealer you purchased your Carson trailer from. I recommend attaching the Lippert Axle Riser Kit - Single Diamond Torsion Axle item # LC270682 with the included hardware and not welding it to your motorhome.
