Getting heavy gear on and off a trailer is easier when the deck sits lower. This axle’s 4" drop spindles bring the bed closer to the ground so ramps are shallower and loading feels more controlled. The lowered stance also keeps the trailer steady while you’re working around it or rolling cargo on and off.
A slight bend in the center of the high-strength steel tube keeps the tires flat on the road instead of tipping in or out. That zero-camber design spreads weight evenly across the tread for steady, straight-line towing. It keeps the trailer tracking true behind you and helps the tires wear evenly mile after mile.
The E-Z Lube spindles have grease fittings right on the ends, so you can service the bearings without taking the hubs apart. Just attach a grease gun to the zerk, pump in new grease, and watch the old grease flush out. It’s quick, clean, and keeps the inner and outer bearings protected between trips.
This round axle is built to handle serious weight. With a 7,000-lb rating, 3"-diameter tubing, and welded spring seats, brake flanges, and spindles, it offers a solid backbone for a heavy-duty suspension. The 94" hub-face and 78-1/4" spring-center measurements keep everything lined up and balanced under load.
Each axle comes ready for leaf-spring suspension with all key pieces welded in place. That means the spring seats, brake flanges, and spindles are already set for proper alignment. I received the items in a very timely fashion and in great shape. I torched off the old U bolts and removed the axle. I removed the new spring seats using a cut off wheel in my grinder and moved them inward one inch on each side, then MIG weld the new ones on they lined up perfectly to the old ones. I then installed the new U bolt kit and torqued them down to 65 foot lbs. The old bearings were only one year old and reused them after cleaning. I installed new seals at this time. The brake pads were same age as bearings showing little wear. The old axles were not Dexter axles and rusted from the inside out then broke off by the drop.. I replaced both. Was a pleasant experience and would do it all over again.

I inherited an aluminum trailer that ended up needing a complete overhaul and etrailer was the best resource I could have found. After researching extensively to find out what I needed and watching their videos on how to do it I ended up ordering an EZ-lube axle, galvanized hubs, springs and a hanger kit (in other words everything from the frame down).
Everything shipped quickly and arrived in great shape. All the parts worked perfectly and I couldn't be happier!
etrailer had the best prices and excellent customer service, Thanks Ian! Shipping was fast and free to boot. I bent the front axle on my in-laws fifth wheel camper and this axle fit the bill. I had to order a set of spring seats and weld them to the opposite sides. The original seats were at 68.5 " centers and that configuration was unavailable anywhere.
I replaced one axle with a 5200 one and it’s been great. Now I’m going to replace both with 6000 lbs axles but it’s going to be in the fall.
I placed my order on Thursday and it arrived Saturday. The axle beams were wrapped well in heavy plastic. They arrived in excellent condition except for a crushed and broken brake wire. I will have to remove the spring seats and weld new ones on since my camper has a 68 1/2 inch frame but that combination was hard to find. I’m am planning on using these to upgrade from Lippert 3500# axles, one of which we bent last year. I would definitely recommend etrailer and plan on buying more of the components for my project from them.

I did not run into any problems installing this 3500 pound trailer axle. All the welds look good and the measurements were spot on. I love the bend in the axle to compensate for the weight of the load and to put the proper camber on the tires. I will keep a close eye on the wear of the tires. But so far everything looks good. You guys also are super fast at getting the product here. I really appreciate that, along with the free shipping. Simply fantastic I have used etrailer twice and have been 100 percent satisfying keep up the good work.

I ordered axle and a pk54871pl circuit breaker 5 tru46fr axle caps. The circuit breaker was taped to axle. it was broken into a million pieces. never got the 5 tru46fr caps.
I couldn't have been happier with both price and speedy shipping on these parts.
This axle and spindle assembly are high quality. Identical to the Dexter axle and spindle ass. that were on the trailer originally. A Big Tex S35 6' x 10' trailer that is 30+ years old.
