Can Axle Spring Seats Be Relocated

Question:
Can the spring perches which are set at 74inch be removed and reset at 70.750inch with out messing with the integrity of the axle. Ive been search all day for something to accommodate my needs and this seems to be my last resort. Thanks

You can certainly relocate the spring perches if you wish, it's a pretty common practice. The process of removing them will likely render them useless, however so you'll likely need to replace them. We offer replacements as part # TRSS238 which are compatible with a 2-3/8 inch diameter axle beam like what the
# 35545I-ST-89 axle you'd looked at uses.
