Question:
We have a 2013 Ford F150. We bought the Prodigy 2 and the wiring harness specific for our pick up truck. When we plug everything together we have no power. We do not get any lights to light up on the controller. We have double checked the fuzes and relays and checked to make sure there is power there. What are we missing or what did we not do that we have no power? Thanks!

The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885 along with the Custom Plug-In Adapter # 22292 are confirmed to fit and work well on your 2013 Ford F-150.
If the brake controller is not powering on at all, there might be an issue with the black wire (power wire) on the wiring adapter mentioned above. I recommend testing this wire to make sure it is receiving 12 volt power. If you are receiving power there, there might be a poor ground connection on the truck. It might also indicate that the controller itself is bad, but since it is brand new, this is extremely unlikely.
You can test to see if it is simply a bad ground connection by cutting the white wire on the Plug-In Adapter and using a length of 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) to run the ground wire to the negative post on your F-150's battery.
If this does not resolve the issue, then I recommend checking the appropriate fuses and relays on the truck again. Look specifically for the 30 amp fuse that is located in the number 17 position in the power distribution box inside the engine compartment. Check to make sure this particular fuse is in good working condition.
If you are not able to resolve the issue, please let me know and we can troubleshoot further.
