I spoke with my contact at Draw-Tite, and he said that as long as your Sprinter frame is 41 inches wide outside to outside and the wheel base is more than 118 inches long, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch, item # 75210, will fit your 2006 Dodge Sprinter Van.
You will not need to remove the spare tire for installation of the hitch. The factory step bumper will be re-attached at original position with fasteners provided with hitch.
