Question:
In this q@a you say the Tekonsha 118599 is what you recommend for 2013 ford taurus However when I search your site for that 118599, It clearly says at bottom , does not work for Police Interceptor models. Please explain, what harness do I need for Taurus Police Interceptor?

I recommend the Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59496 for your 2013 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor trailer wiring. This will give you a 4-way flat connection that will allow you to work with the unique wiring of a police interceptor and draws power directly from the vehicle battery to protect your electronics. There is not a harness that will plug into factory wiring for your vehicle because it isn't a standard model. This kit will allow you to use quick splice connectors to tap into the lighting functions and will protect circuits from overload by drawing power directly from the battery.
I've attached an article to assist with the routing of that power wire.
