Question:

Hi, what’s your recommendation to raise 2017 COLEMAN CTS15BH travel trailer up to 3 inches, to help to maintain enough clearance for off-Road, it has the factory tire and rim, size ST205 /75R14. Thanks.

Expert Reply:

I recommend considering a springs over-under conversion kit for your axle. These kits allow you to move your leaf springs to the top of your axle (for double-eye springs only). We carry over-under kits for 3 inch diameter axles, Item # K71-385-00, or for 2-3/8 inch diameter axles, Item # K71-384-00. These two kits do not require welding to install but the manufacturer strongly suggests having the new spring seats tack welded to the axle.
