Converter Recommendation to Take Separate Trailer Signals to Combined

Updated 07/13/2017 | Published 07/12/2017

Question:

I have a truck with a custom wired trailer set up that i just wanted a 7 way traditional setup on it. My problem is that the brake and turnsignals all have seperate wires. How do i make seperate brake and turnsignals on seperate wires work so they function on 2 wires instead of 3 wire. i have 1 brake wire 1 left turn and 1 right turn wires. How do i wire them so o have 1 left turn and stop and 1 right turn and stop?

What you need is a signal converter like part # RM-732 to combine the taillight circuits on the vehicle/trailer.

The input side of this converter would get run to the separate circuits on the trailer/vehicle and the output side of the converter would get run to the taillights that are getting converted to being sequential.

With this wired before your 7-way connector on your vehicle you would be able to have your turn signal and brake lights combined.
