Question:

Can this connect to a Curt Echo unit on the trailer? Trailer has 7 pin round male connector which can plug into the female end of the ADP7R-7B, but can the adapter plug into the RF unit? Or, is the housing on the male 7blade end removable? Or, is there another adapter that will work? Thanks

The Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 needs to have a 7-way blade connector on both the tow vehicle as well as the trailer.

The Custer Trailer Connector Adapter # ADP7R-7B that you found is designed to adapt a vehicle with a 7-way round pin connector to allow a trailer with a 7-way blade connection to be towed. It will not work properly with your trailer having a 7-way round pin male connector.

The Pollak Trailer Connector Adapter # PK12728 will convert the 7-way round pin connector of the trailer to a 7-way blade connector on the Tekonsha Prodigy RF # TK94FR.

As long as the 7-way vehicle end has the 12 volt battery charge circuit and Combined stop/turn circuits, it will work. The brake light signal must be on the same terminals as the turn signals.
