Lippert Electric Trailer Tongue Jack is Not Working Electrically or Manually
Updated 07/12/2017 | Published 07/10/2017 >
Question:
Hi, I have a Lippert electric trailer tongue jack that is not working, last year I had to loosen it with the manual crank and it started working again when I pressed the button to lower or raise it. This year the manual crank would not even make it turn, it seems the jack is seized. Can it be repaired? Thanks.

If your electric jack isn't even letting you utilize it manually then it is best to get a new jack.
Even if you were to find the exact part that needs to be repaired odds are you would need to start replacing more parts as well. To save yourself from having to complete multiple sessions of troubleshooting and getting inside the jack I recommend just purchasing a new jack.
We do have the Lippert Electric Trailer Jack with Footplate # LC285318 that fits A-Frame trailers, has an 18 inch lift, and has a weight capacity of 3,500 lbs. If this is not the correct replacement just let me know what the specifications are on your current jack and I can make some other recommendations for you.
