Question:
My lippert power Jack works intermittently. New deep cycle fully charged battery. The motor will engage but then it is very slow and then it stops and I have to use the manual override. Any idea what would cause this? It does not blow the fuse just stops working.

Normally an intermittent working motorized jack like the Lippert Components Powered Tongue Jack # LC285318 is due to a faulty ground or a short circuit in the power wire. I recommend checking your ground connections, normally in the mount of the jack to the frame for solid metal to metal contact without corrosion. If that is a clean contact, you will then use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to probe the power wire for a short. If you find it, replace that length of wire.
Since the manual operation still works, it is most likely not an internal issue. You can run jumper wires to the motor directly from the battery to check the motor function. If the wire is good and the motor is good, there is most likely a solenoid or circuit breaker that has gone bad. If that is the case, you will need to replace the component.
