Does Installation Of Front Mount hitch On 2017 Toyota Tacoma Require Trimming Of Air Dam

Question:

Jeff. You say the receiver sits below air dam, but in photo it looks like it is even with the tow hooks. Do you happen to have a pic of the finished install? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We have two front-mount trailer hitches for your 2017 Tacoma.

I called my contact at Curt and they said that when installing the # C31075 hitch the air dam will need to be trimmed as shown in the attached installation instructions. The photo on the first page in the Curt instructions does show how the air dam will look with the finished install.

The Draw-Tite # 65070 trailer hitch is also a fit for your Tacoma. I called my contact at Draw-Tite and they said the air dam is removed and is not re-installed. The installation instructions are included.

Both hitches have 2-inch receiver openings, and work great with snow plows, winches and cargo carriers.
