I already have a tow dolly can I use it to tow my jeep cherokee trailhawk 2017, for now ?

A tow dolly is only allowed for your 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk if you have a front wheel drive model and lift the front wheels off the ground. All other versions do not allow dolly towing according to the online owners manual for your vehicle. Front wheel drive vehicles cannot be flat towed or 4x4 models with 1-speed Power transfer unit. However, if you have the 2-speed power transfer unit 4x4 you can flat tow.

If you want to flat tow your 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plates # BX1136 which is a confirmed fit. Then for a tow bar I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380 which will work well with this base plate kit.

For lighting I would go with the custom fit kit part # HM56208 as it wouldn't require any splicing or drilling into the light housings. You will also need the brake lite relay # RM-88400.

For a permanent install braking system I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 as this is going to install easy and is very dependable. It's our installers favorite as after the initial installation this system becomes plug and play.

The final thing you will need is a high-low adapter. To determine your need, I've attached an article to help along with a linked page to all your options.
