If your 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt is not an SS then you would want a Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C11430. I attached installation instructions as well as a link to a video of this hitch being installed on a similar vehicle as yours below.
If your Cobalt is an SS then you could use a Draw-Tite Hitch, part # 24756, like you referenced. I attached installation instructions and a video of this hitch being installed on a vehicle that is similar to yours below also.
