Wiring a trailer can be a headache if you have to cut into the factory wiring, but this Curt T-Connector makes it easy. The plug-in harness connects directly to your vehicle’s existing tail light plugs, giving you a 4-flat trailer connector without any need for splicing or guesswork. It’s clean, secure, and ready to go once you snap the connectors in place.
If all you need is basic trailer lighting—running lights, turn signals, and brake lights—this harness covers it. The standard 4-flat connector is what most small and mid-size trailers use, so you can hook up and hit the road with confidence that your lights will work right.
The plug and lead design keeps things straightforward. You connect at the vehicle end, route the lead out to your hitch, and you’re done. There’s no converter box to mount or extra wiring to hide. That makes it a simple install for do-it-yourselfers who want reliable trailer wiring without the extra hassle.
Even if your vehicle didn’t come with a tow package, this harness gives you a factory-style connection point for your trailer. The connectors fit precisely into existing plugs for a tight, weather-resistant fit that looks and functions like original equipment.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this CURT T-connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector. Now this harness has been designed to fit the following vehicles that you see there on your screen. The Cobalt from Chevy, and then the Pontiac G5 and the G5 pursuit, and then the Pursuit. Now on custom fit parts such as this harness, I do highly recommend that you take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com.
Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have another harness that will work for you. Now, this is obviously gonna give you that 4-pole flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights. This is going to be compatible with five, six, and seven-pole adapters. Those adapters are sold separately. Now this is going to connect quickly and easily.
What's nice about this is you're not gonna have to worry about cutting into your wiring or splicing wires or anything like that. These custom fit T-connectors are going to plug into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is gonna be located behind the driver's side and passenger side taillights. You will have to remove the taillight assemblies to access this harness. And then once the installation is complete, the four oh way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle near your trailer receiver hitch. A mounting bracket is recommended to keep the connector secure, and we do have bracketing options available here at etrailer.com that'll best fit your application.
You are going to get some cable ties and also a self-tapping screw here, so you can securely mount this ground wire with the ring terminal to a clean metallic surface. And then instructions are included to guide you through that installation process to go into a little bit more detail than what we we inchesre able to today through all the steps of this installation. But the installation should be relatively easy for you. Well, I think that's going to wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that our brief time together was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Worked exactly as described. Very easy to hook up.
Super easy, I wish it was labeled driver or passenger side
These work very excellent! Thank you!
Great way to wire a
trailer, no muss no fuss. Best way to hook up the lights.
Love it. Take out the rear lights, plug in the harness and instantly you have a perfectly functioning trailer wiring light hook up! SOOOO much easier than how we had to do it years ago by cutting and splicing and soldering into the vehicle's wiring harness!! Love this new way of doing things! Take literally less than 5 minutes to install it!!

The ONLY way to do trailer wires, totally FOOLPROOF !
It was a direct connection. I would have preferred for the wiring to the 4 pin to be covered in some material so the wiring is not exposed. I just wrapped mine in electrical tape. Also, the install would be much easier if it is started from the 4 pin to the brake light connections.
