Question:
What part is used for the brake contoller. The harness that you are recommending appears to be for the rear of the vehicle, but I still need something to hook up the brake controller.

If you had a 7-way connector you could get a Tekonsha Wire Replacement for Honda Ridgeline and Pilot, part # 3070-P. This connector would plug into the back of your brake controller and then go into a port underneath your dash.
The Circuit Protected, Powered Wiring Harness - Honda Pilot, part # C56365, will supply a four way connection at the rear of your vehicle that is essential for you to have in order to install a brake controller.
You will also need to install a Brake Controller 7 and 4 Way Installation Kit, part # ETBC7, and then you will be ready to install a brake controller. I attached a link below to a video that shows this product being installed on a similar vehicle as yours.
Once those two things are installed you will be ready to wire in a brake controller to your 2009 Honda Pilot. I attached an FAQ link below that details how this install is done. I also attached a picture to the right that has a wiring diagram of how a brake controller will install.
From the brake controller there will be four wires that come out of the back of the controller.
The blue wire will run to the 7-way connector that you installed from the # ETBC7 kit.
The black wire will go through a 20 or 30 amp circuit breaker (depending on what the brake controller instructions recommend) to the positive side of the battery.
The red wire will go to the cold side of the stop light circuit that shows voltage only when the brake pedal is depressed.
The white wire will be grounded to the negative side of your battery.
