Hooking up trailer lights doesn’t need to be complicated. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector plugs right into the vehicle’s factory wiring ports, so you don’t have to tap into taillight circuits or cut any wires. It’s a clean, plug-and-play setup that uses the connection points already built in for towing.
This harness comes with the fuses and, when needed, a relay to activate the trailer lighting circuits. The converter is powered, meaning it draws power directly from the vehicle’s battery instead of overloading sensitive tail light wiring. Once the included fuses are installed in their proper slots, the system is fully protected and ready for trailer use.
The 4-pole flat connector delivers all your core trailer light functions—running lights, turn signals, and brake lights—through a single weather-sealed plug. It’s the standard output for small utility, boat, and camping trailers, giving you everything you need for safe and legal towing.
The harness tucks neatly behind panels and factory trim using existing access points. That keeps wires hidden and away from moving parts or weather exposure. Most people can finish the install in one short session since there’s no need to run long wire routes or add extra grounding points.
If you later decide to use a brake controller or tow a trailer that needs 12-volt power, this 4-flat setup can easily pair with a kit like an ETBC7 to step up to a 7-way connection. It’s a solid starting point that lets you expand your towing setup without replacing the original wiring harness.

You're right Brian, getting that dummy cap off the connector for the factory tow package is an absolute bear!

Hey Lee. Would you be able to share where the instructions needed more info about the fuses? I can get that information passed onto the manufacturer and get something added to our site as well. Let me know when you have a moment :)

I got the two harnesses installed and went to rent a trailer but the tail lights wouldnt work. I havent taken it to a garage yet to troubleshoot the problem. Although I havent needed a trailer since. The picture illustrating where to place the fuses is a little confusing. That may be the problem. I guess I could call your tech reps.
