In order to install a 7-Way trailer connector and brake controller on your 2014 Toyota Tacoma you will need the brake controller itself and installation kit # ETBC7. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
Since the truck already has a 4-Way you would not need to add any other wiring. And since the truck did not come with a factory 7-Way a brake controller will have to be hardwired in. There isn't a plug-in option for models that did not come with the factory 7-Way.
The hardwire installation is not all that difficult and the 2 links I have provided explain the process step by step. If you do not already have a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.
