2015 Ford Explorer Transmission Cooler Recommendation

Thanks for replying so quickly to my earlier question. I forgot to ask about the appropriate trailer brake 7 pin to be installed? Thanks again

If your 2015 Ford Explorer has any of the V6 engines available it will have a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs. Your Class III hitch like the Draw Tite # 76034 should have capacities that are right at the same capacity.

For a transmission cooler you would want the Derale part # D13503 which would work well in your Explorer.

Sounds like you don't have a trailer wiring harness at all at the rear of your 2015 Ford Explorer. You will need to start with a 4-way. For that you would want the # C56172. From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well. For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. If instead you DID already have a 7-way instead of the wiring mentioned you would only need the part # 3035-P.
