The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # C11448 is a confirmed fit for your 2017 A4. This is a Class l hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.
I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch, part # DT24950 over the Curt hitch because Curt requires the use of a stabilizer strap like part # 18050 for all non-trailer loads. It can be very difficult to find a good attach point on some vehicles.
If you are planning on towing I recommend a ball mount like part # C45019. This ball mount has a 5/8 inch rise or 1-1/4 inch drop and measures 9-3/4 inches long. For a hitch pin and clip you can use part # F-4.
For a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball I recommend part # C40001 and for a 2-inch ball I recommend part # C40018.
For a trailer wiring harness I recommend part # 119250KIT. This kit comes with a circuit tester that helps you identify the wires needed when installing the harness.
