Question:
Good Morning, After looking over all my optic for a weight distributing hitch with sway control, I have decided that I would like to go with a BlueOx Sway Pro, specifically the BXW1003. This is for a Jayco travel trailer with a dry weight of 5600 lbs. My tow vehicle is a 2016 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty with a class V hitch. Here are my questions. The way I have it figured, I need about a 6 inch drop to level with the trailer based on using a 6inch ball mount that I used for trial purposes. I also would like to go with a 2 1/2 shank to fit the class V hitch on the truck. I do have a sleeve to reduce it to 2inch if I absolutely had to. Can you help me put together a package that would fit my needs? Thank you!

Since your trailer's dry weight is 5,600 pounds and you'll likely be towing it with it loaded and some gear behind the rear axle of your 2016 Ram 2500 the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System # BXW1003 is a good choice. The # BXW1003 is rated for 1,000 pounds tongue weight and your trailer will have a dry tongue weight between about 560 to 840 pounds. Plus that will be higher once it is loaded and then you'll also need to add in the amount of weight behind the rear axle of the Ram.
For a shank that will provide 6 inches of drop and fit into your 2-1/2 inch receiver you can use the Equal-I-zer # EQ90-02-4900. You'll also need a hitch ball that will fit the SwayPro like # 19286.
