SMC 600 motorcycle carrier. Is it legal to use this at night? Bike kind of blocks the brake/turn lights on the truck.

Expert Reply:
If a motorcycle on a hitch mounted carrier is blocking your vehicle's tail lights and turn signals then it will be illegal to use in day or night. If you have a 4-way trailer connector you can use a cargo carrier light kit, like # e98943-44LED. These are designed to be installed on a cargo carrier but they'll work for your application. You'll need to find a way to mount them though.
Another option is a magnetic light kit. The Magnetic LED Tow Lights # TLL21RK plug into the vehicle's 4-way connector and then can be mounted on any steel point of the carrier.
